Here I will show you how to make grunge
text quickly.
1) Open a new window, make the size 600x400,
with any background color. Mine will be white.
2)
Select the Text tool and type out whatever
text you want. I typed grunge.
3)
Hold down the CTRL button and click on
the text layer you just made. It should select
the text as the image below shows.
4) Make a new layer.
5)
Select the brush tool and select the brush
you want to use. I used my grunge brushes.

On this new layer just start clicking anywhere
with the brush tool selected. Make sure to
switch up brushes to get a better more random
effect. Heres what I got.

You can change the text color or grunge
layer color to whatever you want by going
to LAYER > LAYER STYLE > COLOR OVERLAY.
8)
Also in the LAYER > LAYER SYLES menu
you can add a drop shadow and boarder around
your text to give it a better look.
